Reviews - What do customers think about NIV Student Bible (Rev)-SC?
Excellent Translation Feb 14, 2007
This is an excellent translation of the Bible, well organized into paragraphs and written in modern, proper English. But especially valuable are the insights included throughout the Bible written by Philip Yancey. Having read some of his other books, I was expecting applicable and well thought-out points, and I was not disappointed. This Bible is excellent for helping a new Christian learn more about their faith and it is perfect for an experienced Christian to use as a tool to delve deeper into the meaning of being saved by Jesus Christ.

Review of NIV Student Bible, Revised Jan 17, 2007
The Student Bible is an inviting pathway for youth and adults who have not read the Bible much or at all; yet it is a valuable resource for experienced Bible readers, Sunday School teachers, and Bible study leaders. Its Reading Plans and many helps (e.g., Guided Tour of the Bible; 100 People You Should Know; notes, charts, maps and explanations) enable a novice to catch the threads of the Bible's major themes and characters quickly, while they offer deeper explanations, understanding and connections to those already familiar with the Bible. I have used the Student Bible to teach both youth and adults with consistently enthusiastic results. I encourage students to use it as their "working" Bible, to make notes in it as they read and study it -- its soft cover format makes it especially portable and flexible for this purpose.
great bible Aug 14, 2006
A great bible for anyone, young and old! Easy to read and understand. Lots of background information too.
Excellent Bible to get you reading Mar 11, 2006
This bible has the nicest looking pages I have seen. The paper is very white, the type is very black and the font is just the right size. The notes on various passages are clearly written and well reasoned and are numerous. The best things about this Bible are the three reading plans designed to suit the amount of time you want to spend reading. This is a great Bible for the person who can't seem to keep with it or does not know where to start. There are multiple two-week studies on various topics that require only 15 minutes per day. Highly recommended!
