Cute, Colorful, and Fun! Sep 13, 2009
This series of board book is so cute! I love the illustrations...very cute and colorful. The book is very sturdy and the shapes are die cut with rounded edges. I got this for my nephew, who is turning three. Perfect for him to learn words and concepts. For instance, the first page says "Who does not like the fireplace"? The pictures show a room with a fireplace with a dog (labeled "dog", mouse (labeled "mouse"), etc. Behind the door flap is a snowman. I'm surprised a reviewer only gave it on star and called it "awful". I don't understand that.
I also got "Vroom, Vroom", which is also just a great!

My nieces love these books as they do not tear easily and they are easy for the younger ones to turn the pages.
Positively awful Oct 27, 2008
We have My Peekaboo Learning Words (the yellow one) - which my 15m old daughter loves - its not Shakespeare, but its not bad. We ordered this and My Peekaboo Ready for School (green) thinking that they would add nice variety to her play/reading. Both are awful. The text is either too long or doesn't make sense. The flap shapes are EXACTLY the same as My Peekaboo Learning Words (in other words they cheaped out when they made these books).
If you kid just wants a cheap lift-the-flap book to play with and you have no intention of reading it, then this is probably a good buy. Otherwise skip it.
