Reviews - What do customers think about WORDS THAT HURT WORDS THAT HEAL?
Words that hurt, words that heal Aug 2, 2008
I am using this book in my Bible study. It is an great guide on the tongue and mouth. I never realized how hard they are to control and how much damage can be done. I would highly recommend. Jeannie Martin
A Must Read book Jul 19, 2006
I read this book in 1986 and just pulled it out again. It should be read or studied by women's groups every where. While it may not seem 'deep' to some, the way we talk is at the heart of many, many church and family relationship problems today. In that sense our words truly due carry the power to hurt or to heal. While it is written with women in mind men would also benefit. I think it should be reprinted in mass!!!!
Will make you think before you talk Jun 14, 2006
This a great book for personal reading or small group. It discuss everything related to the use of our tongue from checking our motivation before saying things, on bragging, on complaining, on careless speech and gossip, on anger, on giving and receiving reproof, on gentleness, to the sacrifice of praise. Truly a helpful resource for an extrovert like me.
Every person, Christian and non-Christian should read this. Jan 22, 2003
Every Christian should read this book. Even those "mature" who think they have a good foothold on living a Christian life. This book brings to the fore front those "little areas" we love to overlook. It is a great study to do with a partner. You could do it on your own, but some of the power is gained by sharing with another who will hold you accountable to those "Whoops, there I go again." areas of your life.
It is ok Oct 1, 2001
