This book presents the vision of God's work of building throughout the scriptures. God's intention is to have a corporate man expressing Him with His image and representing Him with His authority. Thus God must build the many individual Christians built up together to be one new man.
To illustrate God's building, the author likens the Bible to a building manual. In Genesis 1 and 2, there is the blueprint while in Revelation 21 and 22, there is the photo of the finished structure. The blueprint shows man with a spirit to contain God in Christ as the Spirit represented by the tree of life. As man enjoys God, the Triune God becomes just like a flowing river, flowing the precious materials for God's building into man's being. The result is that man is transformed by the Triune God into a marvelous city, the New Jerusalem. This city is a corporate man built by the precious materials that lay in the river in Genesis. The tree of life is growing and the river of water of life is flowing -- not outside anymore, but within the city. This means that the corporate, man has been fully built up with the Triune God and will express God and represent God for eternity!
Thus everything in between these two ends of the Bible is positively to further God's building and negatively to hinder God's building. Read "The Vision of God's Building" and the divine thought of the Bible will become manifest to you!
