Item description for Kathy's Good News by Wilson Awasu...
Kathy's Good News is a true story of a 12-year old. She belongs to upper middleclass family, a Christian home, and a suburban church. And she goes to the church's school. She and I met in her church where I presented a Life, Freedom and Power seminar. We started e-mailing each other about her desire to enter a personal relationship with God and know it. In the process she did. Her mom and sister (3 years older) also did when they heard Kathy's testimony. Kathy's experience exposes and addresses 'false start' syndrome. It's growing up in a Christian home, believing all the right things, but lacking assurance of being a child of God. For any such children (or people) Kathy's Good News could be their good news. Wilson Awasu (Ph.D., Fuller Theological Seminary) is a missiologist, researcher of spiritism and spiritual formations, and a missionary training consultant. He is the author of Transformational Conversion, Fresh and Spicy (Antidote to Burnout), The Conflict, and Family Likeness. He and his wife Anna live in Lakeville, Minnesota.

Karen's Good News Too Jan 21, 2010
In reading Kathy's Good News, I found my story being told. Dr. Awasu shares basic, profound truths from God's Word in a very simple and effective form by sharing the email exchanges he had with this young worman. I highly recommend this book.
Kathy's Good News is a Five Star book in my life! Oct 25, 2008
As I write the review for this book, I can't stop crying. Next to the Bible, this book has had the most dramatic and profound change in my life of any book I have ever read. It led me to ask and answer many questions about myself and my relationship with God. I was freed from some things I have struggled with since about the age of four or five. I have never read any other book that led me to understand how much Jesus Christ loves me like this book did. As I read through the pages, many times I had to put down the book and cry. The author's tender love in emailing responses to Kathy's questions about knowing God touched me on two levels. On the first level, his love and concern for her questioning heart showed me somehow Christ Jesus' love and concern for all human beings and our questioning hearts. On the second level, I was deeply touched by the way the author sacrificed his life and time over several months to mentor Kathy as she searched to know God. If more of us will love each other unconditionally and recklessly as this author loved Kathy, we will help change our world. If you are searching to know more about how to have an encounter and personal relationship with Jesus Christ, I wholeheartedly recommend Kathy's Good News!
