Item description for The Letters to the Galatians and Ephesians (The Daily Study Bible Series -- Rev. ed) by William Barclay & John C. L. Gibson...
Overview THE LETTERS TO THE GALATIANS AND EPHESIANS The Letter to the Galatians proclaims that Christianity was dependent upon nothing but God's free gift of grace, bestowed on all who would accept that gift by faith, Gentile and Jew alike. Because it declares this universality and confutes the Judaizing Christians, the letter is one of the great theological cornerstones of Christianity, according to Dr. Barclay. The Letter to the Ephesians, "The Queen of the Epistles," was a circular letter to the Christian churches generally. The main theme is the universal battle between good and evil, and the ultimate unity to be achieved only when all things are gathered together in Christ.

Reviews - What do customers think about The Letters to the Galatians and Ephesians (The Daily Study Bible Series -- Rev. ed)?
An indepth study on the epistle to the Galations Mar 27, 2010
Barclay has written many commentaries on the books of the New Testament. The one on Galatians is fairly easy to understand despite the fact that it really goes as deep as possible into what the message of the book is. Recommend it as a good reliable source true to the message sent to the Galatains church which was a church plauged by those who wanted the Christian faith to be simply another Jewish sect with obedience to unique Jewish laws such as circumcision - the rite of entrance into the Jewish religion.
Another Amazing Barclay Title Feb 19, 2010
Each of Barclay's Daily Studies are incredible. He gives great insights to the customs and tradions of the period, making the Bible come alive and so very easy to understand. His Greek scholorship is so helpful!
