Item description for The Mystery of Iniquity: God's Revelation of Good and Evil by William B. Sisk...
The Mystery of Iniquity explores some of the more philosophical mysteries of Godas Word as they relate to manas life on earth. It is not a book about man or manas responsibility to God. It is a book about perspectiveaGodas perspective. Practically the entire Bible is written for manas benefit and instruction. There is, however, a larger theme running throughout the Bible that is hidden behind a thin vale. That theme is the spiritual struggle between good and evil. The Mystery of Iniquity is an attempt to see Godas plan and purpose in light of this larger perspective. Manas ultimate purpose must be understood from Godas point of view and in light of the ongoing struggle between good and evil. Only from this outlook can we hope to find the answers that all men ask for in relation to life, happiness and our eternal purpose.

Refreshing Perspective Sep 2, 2008
I bought this book because of it's intriguing title, not knowing what to expect. What I found was fully the best Christian book I have read in a year- finally, a Christian writer has dared to write a book about God, and what the Bible says about Him, the reason that sin exists, and the reason that our universe was created in the first place. Very refreshing reading in these perplexing times, when so many other Christian authors have little more to offer than a sanctified pop psychology that is more centered on our paltry problems than on God and His Word. For the curious, I assure you that William Sisk writes from a rock solid Protestant- Biblicist perspective- there is nothing "cultish" here, although I also recommend this book to Christians of all persuasions, and even more to those who may have little interest in religion of any kind- this book would be a refreshing, and maybe even life changing eye-opener to all who read it.
New Thinking on the Problem of Evil Aug 31, 2008
I think that Sisk has added a new dimension to those grappling with the issues of good and evil. I've have a Master of Theological Studies degree and have never heard some of the ideas that Sisk puts forth to explain the thorny issue of human suffering and evil. This book presents fresh thinking and would be of interest to anyone who asks why when bad things happen. I highly recommend this book.
