beautiful book Dec 24, 2007
A beautiful and timely contribution by local individuals and community groups to the documentation of New Orleans. Part of a great series of books by the Neighborhood Story Project that I hope will continue to grow despite the city having been devastated by the storm and abandonded by the government. Rebuilding efforts have been left to residents and this is one shining record of who those residents are and what they can do. I love that the focus is on women...a group whose contributions are too often overlooked and undervalued.
