Item description for Opie Doesn't Live Here Anymore: Where Faith, Family, and Culture Collide by Walt Mueller...
Overview Christians may long for what they remember as a simpler existence, but the innocence of Mayberry never existed. Everything in todays culture is changing, and too often, Christs followers respond by throwing up their hands in despair, withdrawing from the world, and thus forfeiting their influence. But that isnt how Jesus called believers to live.
In this collection of blogs and essays, cultural and media analyst Dr. Walt Mueller wrestles with what it means for God's people and the world to meet.

Good read Oct 10, 2008
Great title, great book. I'm only half-way finished but have loved it. A lot of the book is made up of Walt Muellers' blog posting from the past 4 or 5 years.
Great book Dec 2, 2007
This was a very interesting book that really helps one dive into the culture of youth ministry. Walt Mueller always does a great job at equipping others to better reach teenagers in there context and that is precisely what this book does!
