Their marriage is passionate, their daughter is a joy, Jefferson's medial career is prospering and they have loyal friends. Kyla knows her newly divorced and lifelong friend, Jasmine, is desperately unhappy and no amount of prayer or encouragement seems to help. But what Kyla doesn't know is that Jasmine has a plan to move her life forward with the type of man she feels she should have married in the first place. A man like Jefferson. Alexis Ward, Kyla's, best friend, is single and successful and willing to wait for the right man for all the right reasons. Passion & Betrayl Mar 28, 2008
Ok, so i'm a lil' late in reading this book. I saw it in the store and picked it up since I haven't read any of her books. "Temptation" by Victoria Christopher Murrary was excllent. She used beleivable characters in her story. I felt the love, hate, passion, need that each of them protrayed. It's w tale of of a couple Kyla and Jefferson Blake and how they marriage almost ended because of a scandalous friend name Jasmine. She took you through all of their ups and downs as they fought each other and their emotions. A great read indeed.
Boring and annoying Mar 14, 2008
While I was reading this book it reminded me of your typical fatal attraction story. This book started off great until it got to the part where the wife finds out her husband has had sexual relations with her best friend. All of a sudden there was nonstop whining about how could he do this to her. I mean I didn't mind it at first but it kept going on and on, chapter after chapter. The wife and especially the husband kept saying the same things over and over again. It was really getting on my nerves. This book really kept my attention but it quickly dwindled once the book reached the climatic point. I mean the drama and action dissappeared in this novel. It was like the writer was experiencing writer's block and lost her creative spark and left us to keep reading about how the husband was sorry for what he done. We get the point that he cheated on his wife and is so sorry but the writer didn't have to keep droning it in page after page. I don't see how anyone can give this book such high stars. It was too predictable and lacked originality. This was highly a dissappoint.
Redemption Jan 1, 2008
This book is a great quick read. The story of deception and God's renewing power is intriguing and sweet.
Very good book Oct 25, 2007
This is a very good book. I read another book by the author & thought the story was slow & not really what I expected but overall it was an enjoyable read. This book is the complete opposite. Definitely a page turner.
Great book!!! May 17, 2007
The story was believable and the characters were well developed. I enjoyed it even more because, even though it was a Christian book, full of Christian themes, it was missing the usual offensive and obnoxious overtone of entitlement that all too often comes with books of this genera.
