READ IF NOT FOR YOURSELF FOR SOMEONE YOU KNOW Dec 18, 2007
This book is very intense reading, but it is true to life. This women, as you will see has gone though alot BUT, wants you to see where her source of strenght comes from. Ok, enough about what the book says. What I say is read this book. Why should you read it, because it will give you hope. Again as I said, do you want to get better, do you want to read about someone who understands what you are going through. Also as a follow up she has a web site written in the book. I would say read the book, if not for yourself and issues you may be going through then for someone you know and want to understand how they maybe feeling.
It is a GOOD read. I dare you to read it.
No more pain Nov 25, 2007
It was another book of someones personal journey. I think we could all write one. There was not much in there that would really help someone with BPD. The best part of the book was that it was God who was her helper when she couldn't help herself. I think she should have gotten into that part more than all the gory details of her cutting and lesbianism. Lea
Great new book on Self-Injury! Aug 10, 2004
I strongly want to recommend Vicki's book, "NO More PAIN! Breaking The Silence Of Self-Injury." This was recently published, and I have just finished reading it, and it is an excellent account of how one can overcome their struggle with self-injury, sexual abuse, eating disorders, and mental disorders. What I like is that Vicki tells her story, and tells of her life now, and how one can surpass their problems.
