Item description for A Memory for Wonders: A True Story by Veronica Goulard, Veronica Namoyo & Mary Francis...
Overview Everything in her education, environment and training was targeted toward making her a perfect product of Marxist atheism. But God had other plans for Lucette. Emotionally neglected by her parents, Lucette became a "difficult child" leading a colorful life full of mischievous adventure all the while experiencing an unutterable loneliness. But the Hound of Heaven was gently pursuing her. At the age of three, upon witnessing the overwhelming beauty of a sunset after a violent sand storm, she gained the unshakable certainty that this beauty was created, and that there was a God. She began to pray. That was the first link in a chain of remarkable events that grace alone could forge, which led her to embrace the faith and become a Poor Clare nun in Algiers. Disowned by her parents, she put all her trust in Him for whom all things are possible. Her faith was rewarded with a dramatic answer to the prayers of her heart. Lucettenow Mother Veronica Namoyo, is an Abbess and foundress of two flourishing monasteries in Africa.

A beautifully inspiring true story! Feb 19, 2001
A beautiful story ... a true testament that "for God, nothing is impossible". Nicely written and easy reading; a joy for any age, especially for today's youth - an example of the benefits of enduring hardship and sacrifice.
Such an inspiring, fulfilling experience to read this book. May 20, 1999
I could not put this book down. In a world filled with trashy novels that contain the usual tales of love affairs or intrigue, this book is such a gust of fresh air. It inspires one to the utmost and fills the heart, as the title states; with wonders. It truly fills the soul and mind. And what makes it extra special.....It's true!!! This is the book to read if you have lost hope in God or doubt his existence. Read it!
Fascinating. I read it to the end and immediately re-read it Jan 15, 1997
Hard to put down. I couldn't wait for each tomorrow,
when I could continue reading.
