More About Valeri R. Helterbran
Valeri Helterbran, educator and author, is an associate professor in the Department of Professional Studies in Education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She is a lifelong educator who has taught at the elementary and secondary levels. In addition, she was a middle-school and high-school principal for almost two decades. She was named 2005 Pennsylvania Teacher Educator of the Year by The Pennsylvania Association of Colleges and Teacher Educators.

No beating around the bush, this book is an excellent resource and teacher support for the classroom. The information provides the history of the idiom and offers suggestions for classroom discussion points. The format is user-friendly and is a piece of cake to use. Every elementary and middle school reading and language arts teachers should have this book. It's a shoo-in.
