Item description for Instruments in the Redeemer's Hands: People in Need of Change Helping People in Need of Change (Resources For Changing Lives) by Paul David Tripp...
Overview "People in Need of Change Helping People in Need of Change"
Intruments in the Redeemer's Hands is a comprehensive treatment in the lives of others, people who themselves are in need of change. In many ways, the church today has more consumers than committed participants. We see church merely as an event we attend or an organization we belong to, rather than as a calling that shapes our entire life. The author explains how his work follows an "all of my people, all of the time model." If you followed the Lord for a thousand years, you would still need the ministry of the body of Christ as much as you did the day you first believed. This need will remain until our sanctification is complete in Glory.
Publishers Description We might be relieved if God placed our sanctification only in the hands of trained professionals, but that is not his plan. Instead, through the ministry of every part of the body, the whole church will mature in Christ. Paul David Tripp helps us discover where change is needed in our own lives and the lives of others. Following the example of Jesus, Tripp reveals how to get to know people, and how to lovingly speak truth to them.

Reviews - What do customers think about Instruments In The Redeemer's Hands?
Great resource for all church members Mar 18, 2007
Tripp's book is a refreshingly biblical perspective on how believers are called to minister to one another. It reminds us that helping others work through their problems is something that we are all to do and that most problems can be tackled by serious minded believers using God's Word and relying on the Holy Spirit. Tripp helps us put our problems in the bigger picture of our relationship with God and to work towards lasting change. This book is very readable, has many helpful illustrations and is thoroughly biblical. It is worth reading over and over!
Good condition - recieved on time. Feb 9, 2007
Book was received in good condition and received in a timely manner.
Law/Gospel Counseling Feb 5, 2007
The problem is sin, the cure Jesus Christ. Deliver this message lovingly and gently. Any questions?
Astonishingly, Paul Tripp reminds ministers of the gospel that they are in fact ministers of the gospel, not psychologists. Amazing.
Great book. We don't need to get beyond Christ, we need MORE OF Christ.
fantastic insight into the human nature Jan 8, 2007
This book really does expose mankinds problem at the core (the heart) and does not excuse it or try to put bandaids of human philosophy over it, but offers hope and healing. I have used this extensively in counseling (self and others) and have seen - by the grace of God - tremendous results. Doesn't mean it comes easily, but helps you really see what is going on below the surface.
extremely helpfull Jul 27, 2006
This book is very powerful and honors God's word and His plan for His people. I highly recommend it . You will be encouraged in your faith and you'll be able to help others with more guidance from God's word with practical application.
