Item description for Rut, Rot or Revival: The Problem of Change and Breaking Out of the Status Quo by A. W. Tozer, James L. Snyder & Warren W. Wiersbe...
Overview Often quoted by Chuck Swindoll, Charles Stanley, Billy Graham and other great preacher's, A. W. Tozer's words are being heard and read by millions today--words like: Change is one of the ingredients of Christianity. If people could not change, the gospel would be absolutely meaningless... The fact that people can change is the only hope they have. Try what I call the pad and pencil method. This method is very simple and consists of getting on your knees with your Bible, a pad of paper and a pencil. Read the Bible then right down what is wrong. Somebody once said the man is made of dust and dust tends to settle. People tend to settle down and do the same things year in and year out, slowly going around in a circle. When this gets into religion, it is deadly and evil. The chapters in this book were originally preached as sermons at South Side Alliance Church in Chicago. Whether spoken or written, Tozer's words were designed to "promote personal heart religion" among God's people. le.

Reviews - What do customers think about Rut Rot Or Revival?
Who has ever heard of a Christian being in a Rut? Oct 24, 2008
Tozer is one of my favorite writers. He had a God given talent for laying the honest truth down on paper and convicting the heck out of me. I read this as a gift. I have since ordered it for my entire church board, after one lady I loaned it to came back crying over it's impact, stating that everyone in the church should read this book. Well- I can't do that. But our board is going over it chapter by chapter. If you want to be convicted and see your spiritual condition read this book. In a vast sea of worthless Christian books this is a must read.
