Item description for Toddler Theme Calendar: Weekly Activity Ideas for Exploring the Seasons with Toddlers by Elizabeth McKinnon & Cary Pillo...
Each calendar is designed to hang, displaying two weeks of suggestions for purposeful play--multisensory, age-appropriate experiences that develop language, creative, coordination, music, thinking, and beginning math skills. Different themes become the focus of each week's activities to enhance a child's ability to make connections and see relationships. All activities require little or no preparation and use only materials parents are likely to have on hand. Each non-dated calendar lets an educator start any time of the year. Parents have the option to spread the activities over a week, do everything in one day, repeat ideas, or do whatever works best.

Reviews - What do customers think about Toddler Theme Calendar (Theme Calendar Series)?
Very handy Calendar Nov 15, 2008
I used to teach toddlers and preschoolers and now I have my own little two year old. I love this calendar because you can post it in your kitchen and refer to it for quick ideas. It is great for busy moms and helps insure that you are engaging in quality educational and fun times with your child each day.
helpful, but not fantastic Sep 30, 2008
This product is a weekly idea book as opposed to a traditional calendar. Each 8 1/2 x 11 page is one week of the month, with ideas for activities, songs and crafts. September Week One has a "sticker stuff" theme, with directions for a decorated snack cup, sticker crown, sticker directions (put a sticker on child's finger and give directions "dance your sticker in the air" or "touch your toes"), sticker picture collage, "easy sticking" (attach stickers to wax paper), and a song "There's a Sticker on my Nose". Week Two theme is "Beanbag Bonanza", Week Three is "Paper Cup Capers" and Week Four is "Fall Leaves". Ideas are simple, inexpensive, and age appropriate for children ages 1-3 at the oldest. The calendar appears to be made for both school and home settings, as there are activities on each page that would work better in one situation over the other. This would be a welcome addition to a Mom's library of things to do with her toddler, or used in a Preschool or Nursery care setting as a supplement with other materials. A good resource for quick ideas, but nothing spectacular.
