Tony Lolli has nearly 50 years of fly fishing experience. During that time he's been a fishing guide in several U.S. states and has had the pleasure of teaching new skills to beginning fly fishers. His own introduction into this lifelong sport came from Al Coif, the New England fly fishing legend and innovator. Lolli is also a freelance writer and has published Go-To Flies: 101 Patterns the Pros Use When All Else Fails. He has written for a number of outdoor publications and currently writes fly fishing columns for four magazines.

Go To Flies : A Great Resource for Fly Tiers Feb 24, 2005
This is a beautifully photographed book with excellent text. It focuses on flies that are quick to tie but are proven producers for guides from around the U.S. I particularly liked the explanation of how the flies originated and why they work. Very clear close-ups of each fly make copying the pattern easier.
