Item description for Daddy Yo-Yo And The Marble Tournament by Janice Toney & Barton S. Sanders...

Overview
Daddy Yo-Yo and the Marble Tournament was written on a story based on the concept of building moral character and ethics within oneself. By taking care of the community and having pride and self worth, not only in yourself, but in the children who are our future generations.

Daddy Yo Yo was the oldest and the wisest man who lived in the neighborhood. He was the one that everyone went to for advice. From young to old, single to married, teenagers to babies, Daddy Yo-Yo was the person all parents trusted when they went to work to watch out for not only their kids, but also all the children who lived in the neighborhood.

You know what! Daddy Yo-Yo was so dedicated to the community that he even watched the children on Sundays after morning and evening worship services. He always reminded the children to enjoy their Sundays, but remember to make it home to their porches before the streetlights came on.

Yes, Daddy Yo-Yo loved the responsibilities that all the parents in the neighborhood had bestowed upon him. He felt that he was somewhat the leader of the tribe just like it was back home in the mother country of Africa. In other words, Daddy Yo-Yo was that person who was always right around the corner when trouble was about to take place or someone just needed to feel his presence to accomplish some task. Just sit back and relax as you read the first of four series about how Daddy Yo-Yo goes about his business of solving the problems in the neighborhood.
