Overview
God, Why dont You Hear Their Prayer? is a question asked by people everywhere. Many times we see injustices in this world. We watch innocent children die of diseases. We see children in cancer hospitals who have no hope of tomorrow. There are women in the jungles of Africa dying of AIDS leaving thousands of orphans. All the while we sit, watch and wonder why God allows such atrocitiesFounding president of Hope4Kids International, Tom Eggum, has seen every kind of poverty and disease imaginable. He has visited hospitals, with unthinkable, filthy conditions where people were sent to die. One childrens hospital in Russia had seven needles which they used over and over, unknowingly spreading AIDS & hepatitis. God, Why Dont You Hear Their Prayer? introduces Cubans, Russians, Romanians and Chinese who have been persecuted for their faith in Jesus. Two years ago Tom visited a village outside of Tororo, Uganda. There he met a beautiful people in love with our Lord Jesus Christ. Children were dying of treatable diseases like dysentery, measles and malaria. Thousands of orphans whose parents died of AIDS roamed the dusty countryside and poverty was outrageous. Yet in the middle of all this, a sound rose toward Heaven. Along with mothers weeping for their children was a song of praise to an Almighty God. In the midst of all that was wrong, they believed in a God who can make it all right. Something about these loving, trusting people tore at Toms heart as never before. When they shouted, God is good! ALL the time! Tom couldnt understand it. Alone in his hotel room he cried out to God. Incensed at the injustice of it all he knelt next to his bed and ranted to the Lord about how unfair it was. He ended with, God! Why dont you hear their prayer? In the stillness Tom sensed God saying I have heard their prayer. Thats why I sent you. Tom emerged from that hotel room with a purpose. God had called him to do more and he was willing. Tom is more passionate than ever as he urges people to find Gods purpose in their lives. He tells them to look for the hurting amongst their neighbors, coworkers and strangers and to reach out with a smile, an encouraging word or an act of kindness. The media has bombarded us in recent years with stories of people helping people. We saw the country pull together after the attack of 911. More About Tom Eggum & Rachel Eggum Cinader

Register your artisan biography and upload your photo! Tom Eggum, started out sitting in a college classroom reading about the struggles in the Soviet Union who suffered silently behind the Iron Curtain. He took matters into his own hands and began to smuggle suitcases full of aid into the Soviet Union until 1981 when he as caught, arrested and blacklisted by the KGB. He had his visa revoked and was forbidden to enter the Soviet Union for five years. Instead of standing on the sidelines, he took trips into Communist China and Vietnam. He brought medicine, vitamins, antibiotics, Bibles, clothes and shoes. From these lifealtering experiences, he founded Hope 4 Kids International. Currently, Hope 4 Kids has been in over 95 countries bringing hope and necessary care to every child they serve. Tom Eggum has touched thousands with his captivating stories as a featured international speaker at mission and Christian conferences around the world. From overwhelming demand, Tom has compiled more heart warming stories in his third book entitled, God, where are you? When Tom is not traveling to other countries or speaking around the country at conferences, seminars, churches and civic groups he loves spending time with his wife Sarah and their two young children. He also has three older children in college. He is often seen riding his beloved Harley on the back roads near his Arizona home. Reminiscent of his teen years when he thought a chopper was the thing to ride, he now is in love with his Harley and will happily show a photo to anyone who asks.

Reviews - What do customers think about God, Why Don't You Hear Their Prayer: Making a Difference in Spite of Injustice?

Life changing story  Sep 18, 2008
This book is a life changing experience. Once you read it, you won't look at your comfortable home life the same way again. The authors of this book really opened my eyes to the plight of the people of Uganda. May God continue to bless Tom and Rachel's ministries as they work in His mission field.

This is a " must read" for everyone!  Mar 17, 2008
The personal experiences of Tom and Rachel's mission work continues to serve as an excellent example and reminder for me to seek out opportunities to serve our Lord always. Some may read this book and thank God how blessed they are to live in the United States rather than in a developing country; however, readers will also learn how God not only hears these prayers of thanks, he also calls those who are blessed to bless those without. God does hear their prayers!

So Inspiring  Mar 14, 2008
I have known Tom, Rachel & Robert (my cousin) for many years and was aware of the countries they visited in their missionary services. This book told my what they really do. The book, and the pictures of the people they have told me about have made their works very personal to me. I often pray to God to help me live as he would want me to, but these people are living the life. I found the book easy to read (hard to put down)and a very definate read for EVERYONE. It's all about love.

Awesome and Inspiring  Mar 13, 2008
This book is incredibly inspiring. How God used Tom and Rachel and their family to bring Hope to others around the world for decades is amazing.

Written in a style that is so easy to read makes this very hard to put down. It encouraged me in my journey in life to continue pursuing God's purpose in my life and praying for and serving others.

I can't wait for the next book!
