Reviews - What do customers think about Called and Ordained: Lutheran Perspectives on the Office of the Ministry?

a good challenge for current practice  Feb 1, 2009
What does it mean to be a pastor? This collection of essays does a nice job of presenting the ministry of word and sacament from its historical, theological and practical perspectives. In an age when pastors do multiple tasks and have differing perspectives on the office, this book craws the reader back into what is central, procaliming the word, and distributing the sacraments to God's people. This book is great for seminarians, pastors in their first call, or veteran pastors who feel tugged in several directions.
