Reviews - What do customers think about You May All Prophesy?
You May All Prophecy Jul 6, 2008
This book gives factual information that the gifts of the Holy Spirit are as relevant today as they were during the book of ACTS. Mr. Thompson is encouraging to his readers to be open to the Holy Spirit with sound Biblical references in recognizing this gift and reverently asking, seeking, and believing that each and every one of us can and will be able to prophesy in His name for His glory.
Full of biblical and experientially learned principles May 7, 2008
I use a fine red underliner in most books I intend to keep for future reference. This book is now very red!!. Loaded with very sound, honest and learned from experience principles.
A temperament of ministry with humility throughout the book. Many so-called "Shepherds" could learn from this writing about ministering UP to people instead of ministering DOWN to them which tends to be the unfortunate norm.
If you are sincerely seeking God for growing in words of knowledge for the sake of setting the captives free and healing the broken hearted, there are excellent principles presented.
The cost of this book is insignificant in comparison to its actual value.
Excellent, clear, and concise Jan 20, 2008
He is a good author and an even better speaker. This book was clear and concise. I will read it several times.
Prophectic instructions Aug 27, 2007
If you are intersted on the prophectic you should get it. This teaching book on understanding in hearing God. Lots on how to's . Steve Thompson has broke it down to understand easy.
Good, but I worry about the author's "tone" Jun 24, 2007
While on the whole I found this a very good book full of guidelines and suggestions and warnings for for those who believe the Lord has given them the gift of prophesy, I was really worried about the tone in which the author presents those guidelines and suggestions. While I cannot say that the author's spiritual position is accurately reflected in his written work, this book presents prophetic ministry as the cat's meow and at times is dangerously close to establishing an "elitist" mentality. I personally believe it is better to become a "Faithful Bondservant" than a "Strong Christians", the difference being in the mentality therein.
