Reviews - What do customers think about Open Bible, Classic Edition?
Not my style Jan 6, 2009
My wife loves the Open Bible. I don't like it at all. The two most important features in a study Bible FOR ME are a good concordance and a good system of cross references. The concordance in the Open Bible gets a "D" and the cross references get an "F" in comparison to those in other study Bibles. My wife likes the other features of the Open Bible, but I rarely use those. For that kind of work, I have a whole library at home. OTOH, I often use the concordance and the cross references when I am reading the Bible on the road or at a Bible study. Hence I'd take the Thompson-Chain over the Open Bible. It's got more of what I need in a study Bible and less of what I don't.
