Portable But Thoroughly Flawed! Aug 18, 2008
This book's commentary is severely flawed with different views of what the KJV Bible portrays. For instance, the word "virtue" doesn't mean "power" as one of the commentary notes suggests. So if you want to witness to someone, the false notes would not help strengthening your faith nor help convert a NIV user to KJV.
Also, in two instances (Hebrews 4:8; Acts 7:45) "Jesus" is actually changed to "Joshua" in the Bible itself which is straight from the perverted Bible versions. Yet, if you download Bible programs the KJV Bible doesn't change Jesus at all to Joshua! This is a major flaw that needs to be addressed.
The only good thing about this so-called Bible is that it is portable for what it has.
A More Portable Study Bible Apr 13, 2006
Same great study Bible as the leather and hardback, but without the heft, yet no editting out of notes to reach its smaller size, and the format is the same: an easy-to-see print that's crisp and has good contrast against the page, center-column reference, concordance, topical index, tables (prophecies of Christ, miracles, parables, etc), and its most distinctive feature: icon-tagged boxes at the bottom of the pages featuring archaeology notes (tool icon), biographical notes (head icon), key doctrine notes (keys icon), etc--and all of these notes are indexed elsewhere for easy look-up. The regular verse-by-verse notes are packed with substance and scripture references that are clear enough for both new and old Christians. Because of its convenient size, this paperback is often the Bible I grab to take out, while leaving the chunkier version at home. Also, it fits better in workplace drawers or student lockers. The paperback cover is holding up nicely, too. Enthusiastically recommend.
