One of the best books on assessing the charismatic movement Nov 16, 2000
Tom Smail is one of the most insightful authors when it comes to writing on the charismatic movement. He is a Reformed theologian, yet was a leader in the charismatic movement.
The book's title makes you think it's merely a book on the Fatherhood of God. Well, that it definitely is. But Smail also relates this doctrine to the charismatic movement and believes that this is a doctrine that the charismatics need to recover. They need to realise that the Spirit isn't to be focused upon ultimately, but rather the Father!
This book isn't an easy read but for those who go through it slowly, you will learn a lot from this excellent author.
