Reviews - What do customers think about Peoplesoft HRMS Interview Questions, Answers, and Explanations: Peoplesoft HRMS FAQ?
I would give -ve stars if possible. Awful book Jul 27, 2008
One of my worst purchases in the last 5 years. This book wont help at all. I found most of the questions irrelevant and the answers equally dumber ! I would say I was aghast after reading first 10 pages and returned the book ! Mr Sanchez, i would say you did an awful job at writing a book.
Rip-off. Would rate negative stars if possible. Mar 10, 2007
I have been a PS FSCM systems analyst for 12 years and recently transferred to the HR side. Fortunately I did not have to interview because this book would NOT have helped. I got this book because the back cover said it "...guides you though your learning process...(and) will put you on the path to understanding what you really need to know." It does NOT do that either.
Basically this is a bunch of random questions people asked on some kind of forum that are extremely specific to their situation and that you will probably never encounter or care about. The occasional useful question had a smart alec or vague answer. My favorites:
Question 17: Where can I find the list of all batch Processes in HCM 8.9 (this is a basic interview question in my company.) Answer: repeats the question.
Question 48: Help - HRIS Analyst Interview (the subject this book purports to answer). Question contains a very long and detailed job description. Answer: "Without some PeopleSoft experience, it will be hard to land this position. There really is no 2 to 3 day cram, but the information in this book will certainly help!"
No, it won't! I can't even think of one reason why the completely disjointed information in this book would ever be helpful. I also noticed that Mr. Sanchez is quite the prolific writer of these "cookbooks" and I would beware of them as well. He may very well have "project knowledge and experience gained on successful high-profile PS installations" but he isn't about to share it with YOU.
