From Publishers Weekly
Master of evangelical Christian suspense, Dekker (Thr3e; Blink; Skin) joins first-time author Healy in this thriller, no less fast-moving than the Christy Award--winning author's solo prose, but also more gripping as it plunges into the life of a woman with frayed and painful family relationships. When a tragic auto accident leaves Shauna McAllister's brother brain-damaged and erases her recent memories, she discovers she has a paranormal ability to steal memories from others, a capability that will either get her killed or unveil hidden sides of the very people she thought she could trust. Against this background, she attempts to uncover the ugly truth about her father's dark secrets and to upend his run for president of the United States. True to Dekker's penchant for twists that keep you guessing till the very last page, Kiss also attempts to return to snappier dialogue and more logical plotting than Skin. A psychological suspense thriller that shines light into black-market child trafficking, Dekker's latest will satisfy Christian fiction lovers who want complex characters and who believe in the stark realities of true good and heinous evil. Imagine that you awake from a coma and discover that you have no memory of the past six months. You have a boyfriend you don't remember; your beloved brother is severely brain damaged (your fault, apparently); you're up on charges of drug possession and criminal negligence; and, oh yes, your father, who is currently running for president of the United States, despises you. That's the situation facing Shauna McAllister, who must try to regain her memory if she's to clear her name and find out what really caused the car accident that nearly killed her and her brother. But there's one problem: a group of conspirators will kill her if she starts to remember anything. This is a very enjoyable thriller with plenty of twists and turns---one of those books where you're afraid to get too close to the characters in case one or more of them turn out to be keeping some nasty secrets (and, here, some of them are). A definite treat, not just for Dekker and Healy's devoted fans, but for anyone who enjoys a good thriller that keeps you guessing until the very end. --David Pitt --This text refers to the Hardcover edition.

More About Ted Dekker, Erin Healy & Pam Turlow
Ted Dekker (born October 24, 1962) is a New York Times best-selling author of more than twenty novels. He is best known for stories which could be broadly described as suspense thrillers with major twists and unforgettable characters, though he has also made a name for himself among fantasy fans.
Dekker was born to missionaries who lived among the headhunter tribes of Indonesia. Because his parents’ work often included extended periods of time away from their children, Dekker describes his early life in a culture to which he was a stranger as both fascinating and lonely. It is this unique upbringing that forced him to rely on his own imagination to create a world in which he belonged.
After leaving Indonesia, Dekker graduated from a multi-cultural high school and took up permanent residence in the United States to study Philosophy and Religion. Upon earning his Bachelor’s Degree, he entered the corporate world and proceeded to climb the proverbial ladder. But his personal drive left him restless and, after many successful years, he traded corporate life for wide range of entrepreneurial pursuits that included buying and selling businesses, healthcare services, and marketing.
In the early nineties while visiting a friend who had just written a book, Dekker decided to pursue a long held desire to be a novelist. Over the course of two years he wrote two full length novels before starting from scratch and rewriting both. Now fully enamored by the the process and the stories, he realized that storytelling was in his blood and a new obsession to explore truth through story gripped him anew.
He sold his business, moved his family to the mountains of Western Colorado and began writing full-time on his third novel. Two years and three novels later his first novel was published.
Dekker’s novels have sold over 5 million copies worldwide. Two of his novels, Thr3e and House, have been made into movies with more in production. Dekker resides in Austin, Texas with his wife Lee Ann and two of their daughters.

All I could think about was this story May 24, 2010
When I heard Ted Dekker's newst novel Kiss was coauthored I was scared! He is by far my favorite author and I was afraid his style wouldn't shine through. The line between Dekker's voice and Erin Healy's cannot be found. Their styles flow together brilliantly, creating an unforgetable thriller. (I'm sure their prior work together helped). Healy gives some great insight into the mind of the main character, both being female. Or is it Dekker's alter-ego Samantha? (Any Thr3e fans out ther)? Severed family ties; a possibly corrupt family corporation; presidential race; political scandal; family tragedy; human-trafficking; drug trafficking; and lost love gives this story it's tag line of
Heart pounding meets heart warming!
Did I miss anything?
From the first page I was hooked. Every touch revealed a secret, opened Shauna up to an unknown world that I could not get enough of. With every chapter I became more invested in the story and more desperate for answers. Each day I wanted to race home to read more. Using real world issues and a bit of imagination, Dekker again creates a great thriller. His collaboration with Healy, I'll gladly admit, did not disappoint. The countdown beings...One year till Burn!
Not a true Ted Dekker book May 13, 2010
I love Ted Dekker books, and so I bought this one in great anticipation of another well-crafted story with creative and thought-provoking spiritual parallels. However, I was disappointed. If I hadn't been expecting a Dekker book, I really would have enjoyed this book. It's a good story, with some twists and turns, and it's an easy read. I wanted to keep reading and find out what happened. But the creative and thought-provoking spiritual parallels were completely missing. There are a few mentions of Christianity and relationships with God, but ... well, it just wasn't a Dekker book. I'll be going back to the books he's authored alone.

This is a agreat Dekker book; suspenseful, entertaining and thought provoking. It has a Christian message for all. I totally enjoyed it.
A new side of Dekker Jan 19, 2010
Having Dekker co-write with Erin Healy created the suspense and intrigue of Dekker that we all know and love, with the twist of a woman's perspective. It was a great read that kept on the tip of my toes until the final kiss.
Kiss by Ted Dekker and Erin Healy Nov 20, 2009
I have to honestly say that I really loved this book. I had looked at Kiss I do not know how many times at the local bookstore. I would pick it up and always put it back, but I was intrigued by the cover. It had me thinking all sorts of things about the story. I had thought that Ted Dekker only wrote Christian fiction. I have nothing against this genre but I had never read a lot of it and didn't really care for it. I have read some Dee Henderson, which I enjoyed, but that was about it.This book changed my mind and I am glad that I bought it.
Erin Healy has co authored a few books with Ted Dekker and is soon to have her novel, Never Let You Go to be released in January 2010. Ted and Erin have a new novel coming out called Burn to also be released in January 2010.
The main character Shauna, who ended up in a coma after a car accident that also injured her brother. He ended up with a brain injury and it wiped out her memory of the previous six months. Shauna's father is running for President and has some dark secrets. Shauna and her father have been estranged for a long time and Shauna does not like her stepmother, who is just a nasty person who abused her in her younger years. She will not allow Shauna to see her brother at all and blames Shauna for what happened to.
After the accident Shauna finds that she is able to "take" peoples memories, and she does not remember anything that happened prior to the accident. With the help of a boyfriend she does not remember, they try to figure out what caused the accident or whether it was just an accident or something more sinister. She tries to find out what her fathers secrets are. Since her accident and memory loss she has a hard time deciding who she can trust.
She also has drug charges and criminal negligence charges against her. She begins to suspect that people who she thinks she trusted turn out to have different ideas and she realizes that someone is trying to kill her for what she knows or what they think she knows. Whoever is after her does not want her to remember what happened. To say any more would spoil the read for you.
Kiss is a suspenseful, paranormal thriller that you will not want to put down. Just when you think something will happen, the story spins in a different direction more suspensful than before. As a matter of fact I would read it at night untill the book would fall on the floor, I liked it that much. I know I will be reading more of Ted Dekker and Erin Healy novels.
I highly recommend it. Go get a copy and I am sure you will feel the same. Kiss
