Blasphemy has never been so fun before, Part 1 May 25, 2008
Samataro has an interesting life. For one thing, he is the Son of God... as in the all powerful God that created everything. Well, he's also in line to be the next God, so his father does everything he can to protect Samataro from the ills of the world. Samataro wants to experience a normal life but with his nudist mother, his overprotective father and his neurotic best friend, Tenko (who happens to be his guardian angel), things don't appear to be getting normal anytime soon.
Enter Kumiko Komori, a stunning new transfer student who steals Samataro's attentions. Suddenly he wants to know what it is like to be in a real relationship so he asks his dad to not interfere... of course everyone interferes, causing chaos and outright hilarity at Samataro's expense. Will he be able to turn an awkward double date at the water park around when he asks his dad to make the ultimate sacrifice, to make him human, so he can enjoy life without interference.
I enjoyed this first volume of this new series quite a bit. The art is really nice and the story is engaging. There are some raunchy moments thanks to Samataro's nudist/Goddess mother, but that's to be expected in a 16+ manga. Overall, a great treat. Blasphemy has never been so fun before.
