Sydney Lea is poet laureate of Vermont, and cofounded "New England Review" and edited it from 1977 until 1989. At times, he has taught at Dartmouth, Yale, Wesleyan, Vermont, and Middlebury colleges. He has published ten poetry books, and many of his stories, essays, poems, and criticisms have appeared in the "New Yorker", "Sports Illustrated", the "New York Times", the "Atlantic", the "New Republic", and other publications.
Sydney Lea currently resides in Newbury, in the state of Vermont. Sydney Lea was born in 1942.
