Publishers Description Written in the spirit of the other bestselling titles in the Child's Guide series, this volume explains in child-friendly language the sacrament of baptism. We meet Anthony, a young boy whose baby brother is about to baptized. Anthony eagerly invites the reader into his church and explains the importance of this once-in-a-lifetime sacrament. He leads readers through the baptismal ceremony step-by-step, describing the events through his own eyes. Throughout the book are interactive questions encouraging discussion between the child and parent or teacher: "Do you know why you have the name you do?"; "Do you know the name of your godparents?" When the time finally comes to baptize little James, Anthony proudly joins in the responses with the rest of the group. Ages 5-9.

Reviews - What do customers think about Child's Guide to Baptism?
Child friendly May 3, 2008
I was able to review book with my grandson before his baptism. He is 2 1/2 years old. The way the book presents baptism made it easier for my grandson to understand the sacrament. The book helped to lessen my granson's fear and anxiety of water being poured on his head and then being blessed with oil. Child's Guide to Baptism (Child's Guide)
