Reviews - What do customers think about So Great Salvation: The History and Message of the Keswick Convention?
Not just history Jul 19, 2007
Even though this is titled as a history book, it is the message part that is so compelling. This is a challenging book and quite inspirational if you are looking to go deeper in living the Spirit filled life. This book is fascinating from the historical perspective for a history buff but wonderfully instructive in the practical how-to's of walking with Christ. The reason this book is so instructive is that it includes so many excerpts from the actual messages given at the convention over the years. Many spiritual giants of the last 100 years were changed by attending this convention. You will be too if you attend to its message.
I am doing a small group study using Stephen Olford's Not I, But Christ (recommended!) and purchased the "So Great Salvation" book personally as a companion to get some background for our study. (Olford was one of those giants who was impacted by the Keswick Convention.) I am discovering that this "history" book is worthy in its own right as a primary small group topic rather than as a companion. It is having a profound impact on me. Perhaps we will give this book top billing in a future small group study.
