Reviews - What do customers think about God Wants You to Shine: A Novelzine (Faith Thomas Series)?
A well-written book Jan 15, 2008

"God Wants You to Shine" is about a young girl named Faith, who works hard to live her life as a Christian. She experiences both good and bad things as she walks down the path to God.
Faith does not feel good about herself. She thinks she has too many flaws. That was until her mother convinced her to enter into a beauty pageant. At this pageant, Faith learns that it is the inner beauty that matters. She learns to love herself and to accept that she is who God wants her to be.
Throughout her life, Faith learns to grow closer to God even when negative things happen. She deals with a lot of stress as her friends are doing wrong and not trusting in the Lord. Will Faith help them? Or will she turn her back and leave them to face their own problems?
In my opinion, "God Wants You to Shine" is a well-written book. Even though Faith's dad is a Christian singer, we can all relate to Faith and the situations she experiences. "God Wants You to Shine" is volume two of the Faith Thomas Series. The first book in this series is "God Can Work It Out."
I think that "God Wants You to Shine" would be great for anyone age ten and over. Also, I'm really sure that if someone is not a Christian, and they read both books in the Faith Thomas series, they will become a Christian. I look forward to reading many more books by Stephanie Perry Moore.
Uplifting magazine Dec 14, 2007
I like the information given in this magazine. It's a gift for our 12 year old daughter, so the jury is still out if she'll connect with it. It's an answer to a prayer for a magazine that doesn't steer young girls to boys and questionable looking clothes. Take a look!
Wonderful YA novelzine that even adults could enjoy! Aug 19, 2007
God Want You to Shine is the first novelzine for Young Adults that I'd ever read and it was FABULOUS! The author may be an adult, but she has the perfect teen voice in this story. Very convincing inner dialog and situations. I loved it! Faith is a new Christian and battling the temptations kids face today. Her friends are having serious problems, many of which affect her. Everything in her life ebbs and flows with the tide of life until an occasional emotional hurricane blows through and disrupts her world. But Faith ends up growing closer to God in the process and her friends all watch everything she does. Because of her attitude and relationship with God through the hard times, she makes an impact on the people around her and essentially shines her light in this dark world. Beautifully written, while this novelzine is for young adults, I think anyone would benefit from reading it. You will feel uplifted and encouraged. I guarantee it.
