Item description for The Larsky Gang by Stefan S. Mosley...
ROBERT CALDWELL witnesses how his wife and little daughter are killed before his eyes, how he is framed for a drug heist he knew nothing about, and how he is sent to serve a 25-year sentence for drug trafficking he never committed. Released for good conduct after 19 years of incarceration, abuse and pain, Caldwell vows to exact revenge on those who betrayed him, unaware that those very same individuals are plotting to rid themselves of him permanently. But the authorities learn about the scheme, and so they stage Caldwell's death, and place him under one of the tightest witness protection programs the country has ever seen, while painstakingly building a meticulous case against the perpetrators and their masterminds. Soon after, the events erupt in a massive international operation covering Asia, South America, Afghanistan, Europe, and the United States; involving faith, judicial misconduct, international terrorism, politics, intrigues and narcotics trafficking that bring in their wake unprecedented riots and disorder to the United States and culminate in the "9/11" events and what may have been the real cause behind that immense tragedy. Despite his initial resolve, Caldwell reluctantly succumbs to the chain of events that have taken over his life, and is dumbfounded how those who did him wrong perish one by one, and how fate rushes him to his full vindication and a reward he never dreamed of, without him raising a single finger!

Reviews - What do customers think about The Larsky Gang?
Easy read, but forgettable. Jan 28, 2008
I found Mr. Mosley's writing style very juvenile. First of all, there were several typographical errors, for which there is no excuse. Secondly, the character development was very week. Characters like Caldwell and the three officers who killed his family were never fully fleshed out. They remained one-dimentional throughout the entire book. Finally, the family dynamic was completely unbelievable. It was too fairy tale perfect, and was almost embarrassing.
With that said, I did find the story interesting enough to keep reading until the end. It was an easy read, but very forgettable.
A Nice Mix Mar 13, 2007
At times, circumstances in ours lives take unexpected turns; when we least expect it, a trial begins and we find ourselves embroiled in what appears to be an unending and hopeless situation. For some, our trials become tests of character and when we persevere, our lives are changed . . . our lives become models for others to emulate, and we become all the stronger.
For Robert J. Caldwell, life's test began with the set-up and his arrest on a drug trafficking charge. Having lost his loving wife and only child during the events of that arrest, he was suddenly alone and forced to endure the next nineteen years of life, courtesy of San Quentin Correctional Institution.
In his book, The Larsky Gang, author Stefan S. Mosley introduces us to Caldwell upon his release from San Quentin. The story unfolds as we learn of Caldwell's struggles both inside and now outside the prison walls. With no friends, no family, and with nineteen years of horrific memories, he is left with doubts and uncertainty. As fate would have it, Caldwell's life begins to take a different turn as he starts to make some new friends . . . friends whose crossed paths will change his course forever.
Mosley introduces us to a cast of characters who start to fill the gaps in Caldwell's life; he begins a healing process, only to be disrupted once again by those responsible for his plight. As the story unfolds, we soon begin to see a web of greed and deception, ultimately spinning into an act of violence on U.S. soil September 11th, 2001.
As Caldwell's new group of friends and family are unveiled, we see that Stefan Mosley has a gift for developing his characters and displaying attributes of love, devotion, and loyalty in an effort to repair past wrongs. I came away from reading this book with a feeling of having met some new friends myself--friends I was sorry to see left behind with the closing of the covers. Mosley also displays a gift with his ability to weave fact with fiction in order to provide us with a believable story that not only satisfies the desire of intrigue but also offers hope to those caught in the midst of turmoil. This book is a treasure of a read and I look forward to more of Stefan Mosley's work.
Simply marvellous! Jul 25, 2006
You seldom find a story so compelling and riveting as The Larsky Gang, and I respectfully disagree with Kaye Trout about Mosley's use of bold letters and exclamation marks, I found them adding "flesh" to the excitement and emotions that run through the story. If this is Mosley's first literary work, I can't wait to read his next novels, since it's said that you get better with practice, but better than this...? Hmmm, I wonder!
Blockbuster Movie Material Jul 25, 2006
The saga of Robert Caldwell in Mosley's Novel, The Larsky Gang, rivets the reader to the book! This is by far one of the best suspense novels I've ever read. The crisp, precise description of the events paint vivid images of each scene in your mind and you feel your heart beating harder or your pulse racing faster as the events fall in place like the pieces of a jigsaw puzzle, but then the final image anything but what you'd anticipated. Great story!
COULDN'T PUT THE BOOK DOWN TILL THE END! Jul 25, 2006
An absolutely beautiful nail-biter, page-turner, cliff-hanger, whatever else you can name! The story flows beautifully and the twists and turns around the world are just delicious! I loved the authenticity of the places, events and facts. LOVED IT!
