Reviews - What do customers think about Watercolored Pearls: A Novel?
A spirited spiritual read! Nov 5, 2009
Watercolored Pearls was the first selection of our newly formed Zion Baptist Church Women's Ministry Book Club; an an excellent choice it was. A very good read, an easy read filled with spiritual guidance based on Biblical principles presented in a "non-preachy" way. The club liked the book so much that we named our club "Watercolored Pearls".
By His Grace.... Oct 1, 2009
Watercolored Pearls takes us on a journey of three very different women who share a wonderful history and fantastic friendship. However the journey to where they are now wasn't easy getting there. All three are at crossroads in their life and only God in their friendship can move them forward. Can these women press forward unto the blessings God has in store for them?
Serena prayed that she would become a mother, when God blessed her she had twins. God delivered Erika from her husband and now he's back asking for forgiveness and a second chance. Tawana has finally heard her calling from God but her future is clouded with the past.
The author did a wonderful job telling each characters story and showing the pain, and redemptive powers of God. How His love and mercy can and will sustain us all if you believe. The parable used in the story was an excellent theme to expound on His grace and security in Jesus. Next on my list from the authors Spirit and Soul series is "The Someday List"

EXCELLENT SPIRITUAL READ May 9, 2009
I enjoyed this book and the characters. It was so uplifting and something I needed to read. I loved the twist in the book and I can't wait to read her next novel. Keep up the good work.
More More More! Mar 30, 2009
I hope with all my heart that Mrs. Hawkins Adams will continue this series. When I first met Serena, I wondered what her deal was and now Serena is like an old friend. I love the way the author gradually weaves characters into each book and then expands that character in the following books. From book one to this one, it just got better and better. The action and drama was enough to keep me glued to the pages, and I also appreciate her short chapters. The message of God's love, grace, and justice is gentle and not forceful at all. The characters are real, imperfect individuals who need Jesus' love and that's why these books have touched my heart in such a unique way.
This author is certainly a gifted one and as I read the words on the pages, it is obvious that she is fulfilling her destiny.
I couldn't put it down Dec 20, 2008
Stacy Hawkins Adams continues her series on three friends at different stages of their lives, and she does it with excellent story-telling and with characters that feel like people I know. All three of these women seek love and validation, but they receive it only when they learn to rely on God's love for everything. I loved this book and hated to see it end.
