Reviews - What do customers think about Sticker Nation: The Big Book of Subversive Stickers?
Where's the stick Jul 13, 2008
Witty stickers that could have gone without the little plug for sticker nation under each sticker.
My biggest problem with the collection is that the stickers are just not *sticky.*
How can I vandalize if they can peel off the stickers?
Fun for High School and College Students May 6, 2008
You'll find a fun assortment of sayings in this book. I teach college, and I used these for the college radio bulletin board, inspirational saying in my office, and fun comments on student papers.
My complaint is also an advantage. The glue is like a sticky note, so it can be removed easily. The stickers also fall off some surfaces. So I put them on paper first before mounting them.
Great messages, great adhesive Feb 29, 2008
I see that some of the other reviews complain about the adhesive. I've had one of the stickers on my laptop for more than a year, and it looks like the sticker -- or the machine -- will wear out before the adhesive gives way.
I learned about Sticker Nation when a friend had his copy in our local coffee shop. He would show the book to people and ask them to select one. On my laptop cover, the Sticker Nation's "Accelerate the Postitive" goes very well with my "Coexist" symbols sticker and my very favorite: God Bless the Whole World No Exceptions". I recently considered whether wearing my heart on my sleeve, or rather laptop, projected a professional image since I often have my laptop out when working with clients, but concluded that I'd really rather not work with anyone who objects to those messages.
Crappy adhesive Dec 25, 2007
The stickers like everyone else has said, have interesting sayings and slogans.
However, the stickers will not stick to anything at all.. I just ended up throwing them out because they will not stick to anything. not even my locker at work. Which all stickers beside these have stuck to.
Very Cool Collection but Disappointing Oct 15, 2007
While all the slogans are great and the amount of stickers is more than enough, I was quite disappointed in the quality. The description above clearly says the sticker are vinyl. They are not and seem to be paper. Either way they barely stick to anything I put them on if at all and are easily damaged when wet. Sure its a book of cheap stickers but I was really hoping they would last on my car more than a trip to the store before falling off. I suppose if you're looking to sloganize your workspace or public places then go ahead and get the book. If you're looking for quality stickers spend a few bucks on select slogans and go for quality.
