Overview SPANISH EDITION. Because where there is jealousy and envy, the confusion is bad.
Publishers Description Most of the people look at the cover and say: 'is not my problem'. When someone close to us is promoted - or is prospering- we suddenly develop some strange emotions. We need to be sincere in order to admit that there is envy with in us, if this is true, the implications are enormous.Envy alone has the potential to quench the flow of God's blessings, both in our lives as well as in the lives of those around us. Let's learn to recognize envy and to overcome this with true, biblical love for one another.Recognizing its harmful effects, Bob Sorge demystifies envy and makes it easier for each of us to admit its presence. Simply admitting our envy is the biggest step we can take toward victory. If the body of Christ avoids envy, quarreling and jealousy, we will stop fighting one another. We will then become the worshipers that God created us to be and we will destroy the plans of the enemy who seeks to stop the advance of the Kingdom of God. 'Envy: The Inside Enemy' is one of the few books that I can honestly say will revolutionize your life.

Envy and It's Flipside: Passion Mar 19, 2007
Envy is one of the seven major sins and outside of Christianity has been a warning to not be devoured by. This is a good book with detailed scripture passage. However, I disagree with the concept that God witholds what we desires and gives to another to mature us. This supports the concept of a God who is playing chess games with people. When someone gets something you want the root of envy is not in some God weaning tactic but in a person's own inner demon of comparison. The task then is to ask God to remove the bad habit of comparison so all your energy is focused on you and your life. The gift of envy is this: (1) direct your energy to manifest that which you envy, and (2) heal the wounds and beliefs getting in the way, and (3) tranform the envy into passion and total belief in yourself while staying wise to avoid being devoured by people who will take advantage of your desires through manipulation.
Remember ... God put that ambition in your heart for a reason. Your human problem is being attracted to the form rather than the essence of the wish. Envy can be turned around ... and quite frankly .... is a signal that something is lacking in your life you need to pay attention and address.
One of the reasons people leave churches is that they believe that God and their desires cannot coincide. Do you part and then let God do the rest. That is healthy surrender that gets you your wish. What turns me off a bit about this book is that it was endorsed by Ted Haggard, a pastor in Denver who condemned gay people and then was caught using church funds to pay for illicit activity and drugs. Which I believe is the cause of envy being handled badly .... it turns on itself and the person affilicted.
What you envy bears the gift of your soul urge being suppressed. If you envy something, you must see how getting it serves you AND God ... and then go for it. See Write it Down/Make it Happen by Henriette Ann Klauser.
