Reviews - What do customers think about Queen Margot: The Age of Innocence?

Beautiful historical graphic novel! Margot: France's "first feminist" queen  Sep 13, 2007
This graphic novel, the first in a new series by Cinebook, is based on Queen Margot, who is considered by some to be France's first feminist queen. The text (written originally in French and translated into English, appearing on the market simultaneously in both languages) is compelling and the artwork is gorgeous. The creators of this series are graphic novel fans and history buffs, and their passion shows in the books. The English translation is first-rate. Some of the storyline is too mature or intense, perhaps, for 12 and under; for example, the second volume ("Bloody Wedding") depicts a well-known massacre in French history.

Two volumes are currently available on this site ("The Age of Innocence" and "Bloody Wedding"), and a third is to be published in the near future.Queen Margot - The Bloody Wedding
