Great Book Oct 29, 2009
One of the best books to read about the grace of God. Taught me a bit about how it's through God's grace we are saved, not by our own works, that we should somehow deserve to have fellowship or friendship with God. But by His grace alone and His mercy, that we are saved through faith in His only begotten son Jesus Christ, that we are able to live an ABUNDANT Spirit filled, blessed life once we just accept the free gift of God as it is, untainted and All by God's grace.
And it's a great read that shows how even one of the greatest men that God is currently using had his own issues with living by God's grace and how once Pastor Chuck Smith realized the grace of God, how freed he was from the bondage and burden of having a relationship that was based on a list of "can and can nots." Like Martin Luther, once he realized the grace of God, he lived a more abundant life and is able to give more and love more. All by the grace of God.

This book is a must read if you ever wonder about the grace of God...It will help you understand God's ways better...and in turn make you a more grace-giving person.
This book can honestly give you the key to freedom. Mar 10, 2009
Grace that is greater than all our sin. God's grace is clearly portrayed in an easy to understand way in this book. My mom read this and started telling everyone to read it, because it magnifies the Lord's love for us. Grace will free you from the bondage of religion, and it will lead you into the light, as He is in the light. Please read this!
It's all about grace Mar 3, 2009
Pastor Chuck Smith has done such an amazing job covering this topic of grace. On pg 22 he states, "Grace is God giving to me something that I cannot obtain on my own. Grace is being accepted by God even though I do not deserve it, even though I am not worthy of it.
The Bible teaches that I receive grace on the basis of my belief and trust in God. Hebrews 11:6 declares that 'without faith it is impossible to please God.' We are forgiven by a holy God simply by believing in Jesus Christ and His death on our behalf. When we place our trust in Him, our slate is wiped clean."
I am so thankful that my salvation is not based on my righteousness. I'd be in big trouble. I am thankful that it is just based on the faithfulness of God and my belief in Jesus' death on the cross for me.
This book does such a great job clearly explaining God's grace. I recommend it to everyone!

Growing up, I used to think doing good and being good were ways to earn my ticket to heaven. I also used to believe that doing good works, serving God, made me spiritual. Truth was I didn't truly understand the love and grace of God.
Learn for yourself what a difference the grace of God makes in this book, one of Pastor Chuck's masterpieces. "For by grace are you saved through faith, it is the gift of God," (Eph. 2:8). God's love is free and unconditional.
