Guns and Prayer Study May 31, 2010
Too many references to religion in an otherwise decent book. Lots of bible verses and references to handguns will make the red necks happy.
Great legal thriller and mystery May 30, 2010
I don't usually read Christian fiction authors but this book was truly riveting. Singer got everything right from the characterization to the plot. This is a page turner with effective red herrings and plot twists. This book is great for any mystery or legal thriller lover.
Best Book of Decade! May 3, 2010
This is by far the best book that I have read in 10 years! It was well written, suspense filled, full of twists, acknowledged the presence of evil and good, and acknowledged the use of spiritual gifts in people's daily lives. It could easily be transformed into a screen play for a movie and wouldn't need much tweaking. The way in which the author unveiled the story was outstanding and kept me up night after night reading way beyond the time I normally go to bed!! Bravo for a job well done. (Kindle for iPhone user)
A great read, loved it! Apr 9, 2010
I hadn't read a suspense/thriller in years (I'm usually reading Foreign Affairs or the Wall Street Journal!) , but picked this up while it was a free Kindle download. What a pleasant surprise! It was a real page-turner for me, and I would have read it in one sitting were I not in the middle of tax season!
I had gotten bored by Patterson and Grisham, which is why I had stopped reading this kind of fiction, but this book, and author, re-"Kindled" my interest!!
Great marketing on Mr. Singer's part to offer this book for free, as I will now be purchasing other books from this newly discovered author.
Same old, same old. Mar 21, 2010
Same old routine format with a bit of idiocy thrown in. One thing- there's a strong idea that a main character might have DID, a subject that the author is woefully inept at dealing with, but no, she is instead gifted with visions! And from there it just goes downhill- fast.
