Reviews - What do customers think about Assleville?
Assleville Jan 5, 2003
This book will have you laughing aloud at characters who couldn't possibly exist in the real world--or COULD they? "Truth is stranger than fiction," but I came away thinking that this fiction felt a lot like truth. I was absorbed in the recognition of a small town like Assleville, where people are related in the oddest of ways, nepotism flows like water and electricity, and high school football games can influence global warming. Assleville reminds me of Vonnegut, Tom Robbins, and Carl Hiaasen all at once. Enjoy!
