LOVE this book! Jun 24, 2008
This book is so clever. It is about eating healthy foods in a variety of colors. It has my son's (3 years) favorite - ELMO (along with his other pals Big Bird, Grover, and Cookie Monster). You need to be a native Spanish speaker or very proficient to be able to read the text. There are 7 or so sentences per double page spread & it is 6 pages long. It is sturdy and so well made. There is a pull out compartment that cleaverly hids the sturdy discs with pictures of food (different food on each side). I was impressed at how cleaverly the food stores - you shouldn't loose the discs!! They are also very sturdy & great for little fingers. You put the food on different spots throughout the book. It emphasizes eating a variety or colorful fruits & vegetables; it notes that sweets are for sometimes. Deffiently a favorite in our house & I am sure it will be in yours too!
