Sandi Patty knows more than a little about such stories. At the height of a spectacular singing career, Sandi found herself in the middle of an affair, a divorce, and a fall from grace that couldn't possibly have been more public.
How could she have mde those choices? What are the warning signs that disaster is ahead? What are the steps needed to rebuff temptation? How do you recover from such a visible shame? Is there life after failure?
Sandi describes the red flags that indicate a crisis on the horizon as well as the path to recovery. She shares how she managed to move on, with God's grace and the help of friends and family . . . and she shows how you can see crossroads looming in your own life and find safe places to fall. From relearning joy to finding the right support group, Sandi helps us all to begin anew, embracing the power of God's redemptive grace.

Reviews - What do customers think about Falling Forward: ...into His Arms of Grace?

I'm divorced, and disqualified from being an ordained minister. Sandi Patty is disqualified from ministry in a public sense where she is representing Christianity. Cheap, cheap grace. Do not trust in her.
Encouraging Words for Fallen Christian Soldiers Aug 31, 2009
Get a cup of coffee and cozy up while Sandi Patty ministers to your soul. She knows what it's like to fall forward. Years ago, she was involved in an unhappy marriage, and instead of seeking help, she faltered, then stumbled, then fell into an extramarital affair which ended her marriage and left her ministry in ruins.
But Sandi made a decision to falll forward in repentance in her Father's arms. She passes on some great counsel learned from scripture and from experience. Find some safe friends who will love you and accept you as you are and will pray with you as you struggle through the rock bottom areas of life. She calls these people "Jesus with skin on."
She also recommends memorizing and repeating certain scriptures about God's unconditional love and how there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1).
She talks about actively serving and helping others even while you are striving toward your own goals for wholeness and healing. She uses the Wizard of Oz as an illustration: Even while Dorothy was searching for home, she helped the people she met along her path who also needed encouragement to find a brain, a heart, and courage.
There are study questions and recommended books at the end of the book. This is a book you'll want to give to someone who is going through a painful divorce or is trying to get back to God after a fall.
God is so real Mar 10, 2009
Book is excellent. Sandi related God's grace in ways that was very easy to understand and comforting to my heart. I initially borrowed the book from the library and found it to be one of those books that I want to keep in my personal library. So I ordered the book. In fact, it is one of those books that I will highlight thoughts that will be helpful to me and to others in the future.

Falling Forward -- into an interesting read [4-1/2 stars] Jun 28, 2008
In this book, a follow-up to her autobiography, "Broken on the Back Pew," Sandi Patty exposes her vulnerable -- and very human side -- and demonstrates that God has not only graciously forgiven her for the mistakes she's made in the past but also has used her to warn others about the dangers of making the same mistakes. She uses her experiences to point out red flags when you might be falling either spiritually or morally, and that no matter how badly you have fallen, you can still fall safely into the loving arms of Christ Jesus.
This book is very well-written and kept my interest through the entire book. Highly recommended.
