Item description for No More Bottles for Bunny! by Bernette Ford & Sam Williams...
Overview When visiting his friend Ducky, Piggy must choose between playing a new game and sucking on his pacifier.
Bernette Ford and Sam Williams offer a delightful sequel to their highly acclaimed No More Diapers for Ducky!—and it too deals with a rite of passage that every child goes through. Adorable Pig and Ducky return with a new friend: Bunny, who sucks on his bottle at mealtime, naptime, and playtime. But now Bunny has an invitation to Piggy's lovely tea party…and no one drinks tea from a bottle! Will Bunny grow up and start using a cup? Once again Ford and Williams teach their lesson gently, with subtle, graceful writing and thoroughly charming characters. A Main Selection of the Children's Book of the Month Club.

Reviews - What do customers think about No More Bottles for Bunny!?
Ok Feb 28, 2008
I bought this book for my 18 month old. It is the only one I have found on this subject. The story was too complicated for her. Maybe if we are still on the bottle at 2 she will understand the concept in this book.
Just in time! May 15, 2007
Thank goodness for this book! It was published just in the nick of time. We were really struggling to wean our die-hard bottle lover from her beloved "bah-bah", so I went to this site to search for a book on the subject to help her with the transition. Surprise -- there weren't any! But in a few weeks, this lovely, charming book was published, and it helped tremendously.
Bunny wants to join Ducky and Piggy's tea party, but he can't drink tea or enjoy a cookie because he's always sucking on his bottle. But "bottles are for babies", and Bunny doesn't want to be a baby anymore. So Bunny has to make the decision to throw away his bottle, saying "bye bye, bottle!" Then he is able to join his friends' tea party because he is a "big boy" now!
We read this book to our daughter for a couple of weeks, using the story of Bunny to prepare her for the day when she would become a "big kid", just like Bunny. On the designated day, we had an little tea party of our own, just like Ducky's tea party. Our daughter helped to throw out her bottles, as Bunny did. She looked in the trash and said, "Bye bye, bottles!" We all applauded her for becoming a Big Girl who doesn't drink from a bottle anymore. By giving her an engaging, simple story to relate to, this book eased the transition off of bottles quite a bit. I highly recommend it!
