Reviews - What do customers think about Ryrie Study Bible NAS Hardback- Red Letter (Ryrie Study Bibles)?
Ryrie Study Bible NAS Hardback - Red Letter Jan 17, 2007
This is an excellent study Bible for those who like immediate assistance in understanding a passage they are studying. Typically, Ryrie portrays a clear understanding of the text, using the correct literal approach in his interpretation of the Word.
Drawen Jan 16, 2007
Excellent work, great for new or matured student of scripture. The endnotes I fine to be much better than Scoffield. This is a must have for those who coolect and/or study the bible. This will be the last bible you purchase.
One of my favorite study Bibles Jun 21, 2006
This is a wonderful study Bible and the study notes are expanded and improved. Charles Ryrie's excellent notes are clear and understandable, and reflect a premillennial dispensationalist interpretation of prophecy and the end-times. What I also like are the in-text maps which are helpful when reading the historical/ narrative books, and helpful charts / feature articles which explain key biblical terms. One of the most helpful sections are the study helps in the back, with a Survey of Christian Doctrine and a Brief Survey of Church History. The Bible also has an excellent concordance and colorful maps of high quality. I highly recommend this study Bible and have used it for many years!
Nice print Jun 4, 2005
This Bible has great looking print. I don't know if it's the font or just the layout, but the words seem to jump off the page when I opened it up.
I was disappointed with the amount of notes. It didn't seem like it was as thorough as I thought it should be in that aspect. I also am not in agreement with Ryrie and his concept of "Lordship salvation."
NASB! Mar 10, 2005
I like the language of the NASB. Ryrie offers good history and commentary w/o overdoing it. Hardback binding is a little weak. (squeezed some glue down the back spine after it came loose and it has since been solid)
