Grace's naiveti coupled with her desire to experience life on her own terms leads her down a path of emotional devastation and physical abuse. Through a chance encounter Grace meets Mike, a successful design artist who introduces her to a relationship very different from her usual one-night-stands and affairs with married men. Things take a turn for the worse however when Grace's roommate walks in on her and her married personal trainer in their apartment. Great effort Jan 15, 2007
I really enjoyed reading this book. I was able to really feel the characrers and relate to them as well. I felt the author did a good job at bringing them to life/
Wonderful! Jan 7, 2007
I picked this up from the library and I really enjoyed it. It's a thick book, but it kept me engrossed all the way through. The storyline covered what I would say is a common road that one travels on their way to finding Christ: ups and downs, tragedies, it's all there. Even though Grace was surrounded by Christians, it was a path she had to embark on for herself. Great story. Don't pass this up.
Absolutely one of my favorites Aug 3, 2006
This is one of if not one of my favorite books, this author's writing style is incredible. She is truly gifted and I was stuck in this book until the end...I laughed and cried with Grace (I can't wait to read the sequel). Grace goes through so many ups and downs and this is realistic because sometimes it takes some of us a little longer to get it right...Grace is such a complex character along with all of the rest of the characters I hope Ryan keeps doing more sequels using these characters. BUY THIS BOOK it is worth the money and the time to read it.
