What the Bible says about Healthy Living May 16, 2009
This book has definiately made me review my opion on certain foods and I needed to make some hard choices. I can say it is not only inte4resting but as a nurse seems both scientificly and spiritaly sound. I have recommended this book to my family to read.
A balanced Scriptural approach Feb 5, 2009
This book was so interesting that I could not put it down. The author is a Christian who uses the Scriptures as a basis for everything he teaches, even though he is also a doctor and can give medical knowledge.
Unlike most other health books on diet, he does not insist on a pure vegetarian diet, but allows for a diet that includes everything that God permitted to man, including animal products.
He does however explain why God restricted certain meats as unclean, and why we should consider avoiding these foods ourselves. After reading this book I have found myself being more careful what I eat. The results on my health have been astounding.
A humorous writer with a strong Biblical perspective, Rex Russel is funny entertaining and extremely knowledgeable on the subject of eating healthy. If you have been looking at other health books and diets, I would highly recommend you read this book before changing your diet.
