Reviews - What do customers think about Screamfree Parenting?
A must for all parents Jan 6, 2010
The thing that seperates this book from all other parenting books is that it is principle-based rather than reaction-based. It is not, "if your kid does this , you do this" book. The best book I have ever read for parenting. It has changed the way my wife and I parent, and has changed our children for the better. We constantly get complimented on how "good" our children are, and I attribute much of that to this book.
Self-restraint for Parents to Model for their Children Dec 29, 2009
The author has written a helpful book about good communication skills. He presents his points of view to the reader, while explaining that it is the parents that have to prepare themselves to be a model for their children. This education will be achieved by being under control, by behaving in a mature and responsible manner, in short, as he says, "keeping your cool," while granting children their needed space and treating them with respect. The fact that a person has become a parent does not mean that he/she is a self-made authority or expert and this is clearly explained by the author throughout his book. I recommend this book as an addition to your library of parenting books.

Excellent, practical parenting book! Aug 22, 2009
This book was recommended by a family counselor and it is extremely practical and insightful. It has changed our thinking in how we parent. We wish we would have known about this book years ago! It really helped us see a logical process to handling our own reactions and responses to all the challenging situations that can occur with raising children. We are both professionals and thought we were making logical, thoughtful decisions, and this really opened our eyes to our own reactions and how we can make even small changes that will make a difference. Every parent should have this book!
