Great variety and very nice schedule Feb 12, 2007
I love the way this is set up. It has different type of devotional components
A daily devotional I will not depart from Jan 7, 2007
I bought this book in 1995. I have consistently gone back to it time and time again. Although published by Upper Room Ministries, an arm of the Methodist community, it is very ecumenical in it's content. It was here that I discovered many of the early Church writings as well as those of authors I had not heard of. My greatest discovery was of Carlo Carretto whom I have come to love and consider a spiritual mentor. The layout is easy to follow and the readings are consistently thought provoking. I highly recommend this little devotional.
Balanced and comprehensive Dec 9, 2006
This is a wonderful resource for those who want to deepen their devotional life. Of all the devotional books I have used over the years, this is my favorite. Provides readings in Scripture, meditations, as well as readings by noted spiritual leaders.
Balanced diet for your soul Aug 30, 2006
This devotional is well rounded, and very complete for day to day study. You can take a half hour or as long as you desire and it is truly food for your soul. I look forward to my devotional time and am so excited by the growth this book encourages.
Excellent Resource Aug 7, 2006
I suggest this prayer guide to anyone who is trying to mature in their Christian faith. It is simple to use and straight forward in design. Focused weekly topics that are supported by scripture in each daily reading. Being in the Word daily is the best way to grow close to Jesus Christ, the Son, our God. Would make a great gift too for someone you love.
