Reviews - What do customers think about The Meaning Of Life: Existentialism, The Universe and Social Problems?
An extraordinarily deep and soul-searching compilation. Mar 5, 2008
Written by Chinese poet and philosopher Ronnie Ka Ching Lee, The Meaning of Life: Existentialism, the Universe and Social Problems: Understanding Social Problems with Morality and Logic is the sequel to "The Book of Life". Packed cover to cover with philosophical, free-verse poetry exploring why we live, how we can improve our lives, and the essence of one's will and psyche. An extraordinarily deep and soul-searching compilation. "Existentialism and Worth": Nothingness never needs to be worthy, / But existence always needs to be worthy. // This law states that the will, / Tends to what makes it worthy, / To live, / And existence evolves to what makes it worthy, / To exist. // To be worthy means to like life, / To value life, / To want life, / And to want to live, / And have a will. // Morality is therefore value, / And the best value for life, / Is to be worthy.
A book to explored and experienced, not just read. Dec 5, 2007
It has been said that philosophy describes the truth of reality, and that is what Ronnie Lee's The Meaning of Life, Existentialism, the Universe and Social Problems does - describe life, its problems and solutions to these problems. The book is divided in two parts. Part One is `The Meaning of Life' which consists of 35 poems and Part Two, `A Return to Existentialism', has 91 poems. Lee's use of poetry allows the reader to feel the interrelatedness, and also allows the reader to explore deeper on the meanings.
Each poem deals with a topic, such as Beauty, Gossip, Drug Abuse, The Meaning of the Food Chain, Existentialism and Fear, and Existentialism and Funny. These topics cover the whole human drama, and while some topics are repeated they are looked at from different angles.
What is Existentialism? Mr. Lee writes in poem, The Meaning of Life:
Existentialism is the fundamental,
Meaning of life,
The value of life for you,
In your characteristics and skills.
Your own self worth,
Is the most important thing in life,
And this makes you true to yourself.
He also shows how to increase self worth. Part of his book is self-help!
Both the metaphysical and physical are written about. In Existentialism and Strength;
The spirit allows us to think we are together,
And the physical can make you think,
We are alone.
While each poem can be read separately, it is better to read them all to grasp the vastness and connectedness of the topics. In the poem Progress and Problems:
All small things are more real,
Sometimes than the big things,
But big things allow you to know how,
The small things are made up,
So they can progress.
This is one book to explored and experienced, not just read.

The Rules and Laws of Philosophy are now known Nov 8, 2007
This book lays down the new laws and rules of philosophy to make it finally reach maturity. Just like algebra is for mathematics, the laws of gravity is for physics, genetics is for biology, and the periodic table is for chemistry, this book, 'The Meaning of Life: Existentialism, the Universe and social problems', shows you the laws of universe and the absolute rules of philosophy. This is an essential book for all who need to know how we can prove and define the boundaries of truth and logic to make philosophy into a subject with its own set of principles and formulaes. With this set of knowledge, this book shows the answers to many social problems and follows the principles of the meaning of life. This book allows everyone to see their individual goals and reality to succeed and find meaning but also allows the universal truths to find meaning to the universe. It will forever change the perception of philosophy and the ways we find the truth and wisdom of life.
