Item description for Secularity and the Gospel: Being Missionaries to Our Children by Ronald Rolheiser...
Overview Introduced and edited by Fr. Rolheiser, this book features contributions by several leading authorities in the field of spirituality and addresses a major theme regarding the future of faith.
Publishers Description In the recent past, "missionary work" often meant bringing our familiar Gospel to faraway places and other peoples. In secular America today, however, even our own children know little about the Gospel. In this important contribution, Ronald Rolheiser, author of "The Holy Longing," offers original chapters on the question of secularity, then introduces leading voices in Catholic thought to show how Christian faith can thrive in a secular world.

Secularity and the Gospel May 29, 2008
I purchased this book for a class. I have enjoyed other books by this author. Because I was pressed for time, I wasn't able to enjoy the book, but now that I'm between semesters I can sit down and re-read it and see what I've really missed. My classmates really liked it.
