If you or someone you know needs encouragement, read this book! Jun 11, 2006
A very easy, inspirational read. This story offers hope and healing to anyone who feels they have failed to make the right choices in life or just don't understand why they struggle so hard to get through life's difficult journey. The authors' poignant honesty inspires the reader to reflect on their own life choices and gives hope that a meaningful, victorious life can be lived. Great to share with anyone going through a difficult time or starting over!
Honesty and encouragement in a true story. May 15, 2006
This book was fast reading, and very interesting. I really enjoy personal testimonies. It is always helpful to me to learn how the Lord has worked or is working in someone else's life. I learn from other people's examples as much as from the Lord, and Scripture itself.
I especially appreciated the authors' honesty and vulnerability about their highs and lows, trials, lessons, and victories. I am sure that the book must have been difficult for them to write, considering the deep valleys they went through. However, that's how I (and most people) learn--from the life lessons and advice of people who are honest and vulnerable.

I appreciated the vulnerability of the authors in this book, their many references to Scripture, and their persevering faith in Jesus to get them through their trials. The book will be a great encouragement to those who find themselves in (past, present, or future) similar circumstances.
Once I started reading the book, it was difficult for me to put it down. While the book was sad to read in places, it was inspiring to see the authors not giving up, but learning what God had to teach them through their trials.
This book gave me a new appreciation for the truths found in Hebrews 12:5-13. When God lovingly disciplines (child-trains) His kids (true Believers) through hardships, His purpose is conformity to His Son. Our choice is to either cooperate with God in the process as the authors of this book have ultimately done, or to not cooperate and make the hardships more painful and long-lasting. The book was an ecouragement to me to do the former.
Inspiring true story of hope & encouragement - a MUST HAVE! Apr 14, 2006
I found this book impossible to put down. It covers the joys, triumphs, tribulations and tests of all life's rites-of-passages and awakens one's spirit to the healing power of God. I especially enjoyed the authors' inclusions of scripture references and straightforward tools, making it easy to apply to my own journey in life. The effects of this book are far-reaching beyond its written content.
